Dynamic waste weighing system

Weighing system described below is adapted for devices with back chute with full comb installed on a continuous crosswise post. Comb-shaped devices, Diamond holders or folding arms can be used as holders. Complete chute device is supported by means of appropriate hinged arms on the right and on the left which are placed on two weighing sensors.

Weighting system, which is based on weighting sensors, is a dynamic weighing system. Its biggest advantage is the fact that the process of pouring waste does not have to be discontinued for weighting purposes as it happens in the case of the static system. What it gives our clients, is effective and measurable saving of time and therefore no limitations in the efficiency of the process of pouring waste. time saving and

Weighting system is used for determining accurate weight of the loose load. The described scales can also be used in cases in which attestation is required.

System configuration may depend on the actual needs and the way it is used. User can extend the system at any time in order to obtain more advanced functionality. Most popular configurations are:

I. Basic configuration

This confguration does not make it possible to identify containers or clients but only enables identification of the property on the basis of location (geographical coordinates) by the Xtrack. It is perfect for companies which have a vehicle with scales (or several provided that they belong to minority in the fleet).

Basic functions of the system:

  • Full functionality of the XTrack system – recording routes and stoppages, recording working time, (collecting waste, discharging), fuel measurement (from the factory built-in system in the vehicle), identification of workers, etc.
  • Showing data on a map and in the form of advanced reports.
  • Recording details from weighing system – connecting details concerning waste weight with data concerning location, kinds of containers, driver who is working and other which are recorded by the XTrack system.
  • Software for analysing data from the scales. Weight of collected waste based on the time range (that is e.g. on a given route), location/property, driver/team of loaders. Weight waste collected within the period  between two discharges (that is what should be the reading from the scales at rubbish dump).

Additional options:

  • Identification of container type (e.g. 120l, 1100l)
  • Identification of the number of  120l containers (1 or 2)
  • On-line transfer – makes it possible for the data to be transferred systematically (licence fee required) otherwise the data is transferred via pendant
  • Software option makes it possible to keep a register of data concerning dustcart weight at rubbish dup and about schedules/routes completed by the vehicles in a given period of time – the option enables registering all vehicles and not only these equipped with the XTrack system or scales. Owing to this it is possible to filter and prepare lists for the needs of routes. Depending on the fact whether the route was served by a vehicle with or without scales. It makes it possible to both compare the weight of waste collected 'legally' i.e. through scales with the weight measured at the dump and to compare statistical weight of weight collected on a given route covered by vehicles with weight and these without weight.
  • Software integration: options of automatic data downloading – adjusted to client's individual needs. It can be downloading address details of a given property, data from weighing software – many companies have their own scales, etc.
  • Fuel probe (a typical option connected with vehicle monitoring in the XTrack system).

Benefits of basic configuration:

a) work management and costs

b) control and supervision

c) management

II. Configuration with client identification
It is extension of the basic configuration. Entire specification of the system is identical as in the basic version the only difference is that the system enables identification of client (by client's number).
Implementation of such configuration can be conducted in several way, however, in most cases it would be client's number chosen from a list (on an additional terminal for driver or loader). The system is equipped with a database with clients' details and algorithms which on the basis of location suggest a shortened list of clients.
Such system turns out to be really useful in smaller cities, in the case of selective waste collection or in the case of industrial clients (usually, their number is small but they produce much more waste and often they can or even have to account for the amount of waste). Using scales for accounting purposes requires its periodical attestation.

Benefits:

III. Configuration with identification of large containers

An economical solution making it possible to account practically all more important clients including housing co-operatives. Basing assumption is installation of chips on containers with capacity of 1100l and o more. Owing to this, the problem with distribution of chips in several thousand containers and thousands of invoices from the system is gone.

Benefits:

IV. Configuration with full identification of containers

It is a full system option with container identification (RFID chips). It identifies every container. Enables accounting clients on the basis of waste weight. It requires software for managing waste disposing company (including invoices). It is target version for many clients who begin with the basics version and will change over to the system with container identification and waste weighing.
