RFID

Since its beginnings, the XTrack system allowed identification of the driver through pendant, which ensures the identification but also portability of data. Since May 2009 the system has included a new flexible solution. RFID transponders are commonly used to identify people and objects so a natural way to extend the functionality of the XTrack system is the use of such identifiers.

Their main advantages are:

  • great popularity in the industry - RFID has become an industry standard supported by most computer systems
  • touchless identification – possibility of hiding the reader / antenna eliminates chances of damage .....
  • billions of tags deployed annually provide low prices and full accessibility
  • tags / transponders are present in many forms (cards, chips, stickers, earrings, etc.) to allow simple identifier installation

XTrack system in cooperation with the RFID chips provides a number of unique opportunities:

  • possibility to identify the driver and any number of passengers / workers
  • optional opportunity to use cards in other systems in the enterprise such as work time registration, access systems (gateways), fuel distribution systems, etc.
  • ability to register not only people but also objects identified by cards (issued or received products / goods, etc.)
  • RFID antenna can be mounted hidden (eg under the dashboard), in that case all other elements of the system may remain hidden
  • Optional RFID reader connected to a long cable (up to 10m), also available in manual version

 

Description of the system work:

1) After the ignition recorder attached a beep warns the driver to identify themselves. Until the ignition switch off all the events are attributed to the driver.
2) Each next login is signalized by a short beep.
3) Along with the unique identifier of the transponder the data such as the exact date and time, geographical coordinates (location) is registered. The recorder mode is also saved - it allows software to distinguish between events (e.g. entry / exit, loading / unloading).

 

Possible applications (software description):

1) Identification of the driver - the events are assigned to an employee who break sound signal, using his RFID card [option]
2) Registration of the work time for passengers - the system can be used for recording passengers time (e.g. work teams) and also serve as a remote working time recorder (e.g. construction site). With the ability to change work modes it is possible to record the events of "input / output" private, etc. [option]
3) Registration of other objects (e.g. tool connected to the tractor, a semi-trailer identification, registration of loaded / unloaded pallets of merchandise) [option]
