On 28th May 2008 in Warsaw a protocol of acceptance of the XTrack system for monitoring vehicles in the MMP S.A. – a leader among cable networks in Poland - was signed. This crowned 9 month long works which involved the entire XTrack network and included tests and preparing their results, preparing system specification and implementation schedule as well as the implementation itself.
Already at the stage of initial negotiations with the client OMEGA sp. z o.o. focused on the entire network working together by implementation of the system. Extended network and plausible implementation plan together with system functionality and its possibilities were the factors which made the client choose the Xtrack system. OMEGA sp. z o.o. is the only company which was able to offer installation and service for 15 cities in Poland, practically without excluding them from operating.
The scale of this implementation can be illustrated by some figures:
422 – number of recording devices installed (soon there will be another 50),
15 – number of cities in which installation took place,
26 – number of 'clients – software terminals' operating on the basis of a database (in 22 cities – with one central server),
21 – number of people directly involved in the implementation (local service, software implementation and remote service),
8 – number of 'business entities' which were directly involved in the implementation of the Xtrack system,
Other significant elements of the system:
The implementation at MMP can be regarded as a huge organizational success of the entire Xtrack system sales network. Successful implementation of the system opens a new chapter in the Xtrack system history – it is only a matter of time to have other implementations of this kind (on a similar or larger scale).
